Tsunami Disaster Letters From MDRT Members Worldwide

Send us your letters

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the terrible events of the December 26. I hope those of you who have been affected directly are coping. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Enclosed is a check in support of the MDRT Foundation Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund. (Of the check), $7 is from my 7-year-old son's (Casey) piggy bank and an additional $7 for matching his support.

Thank you for taking the initiative, your efforts and your spirit of caring.

Not too long ago in the Caribbean, we experienced what has been rated as the worst hurricane season in many decades. Thanks to the support of MDRT friends around the world, we made it through, and we are now on the road to recovery.

It is now time for us to reciprocate. Therefore, I join Darla Brown in extending our prayers and best wishes on behalf of all MDRT members in the Caribbean, to the families of the thousands of victims of the recent tragedy in Southeast Asia.

I hope that none of my MDRT family members were directly affected. My immediate family joins me in extending heartfelt condolences to all who have suffered losses in any way. May the New Year bring forth the peace and strength that you’ll need to overcome this adversity.

Happy New Year to All!!

Thank you and MDRT for your kind thoughts during this difficult time as a result of the tsunami. Glad to inform you that those MDRT members that I know are fine. However, two agency leaders from Great Eastern Life died in the tidal waves. I am attempting to make the contacts and convey our heartfelt condolences in their moment of despair.

May there be peace throughout the world. God bless you all.

In New Zealand, we are trying hard to provide as much financial support for the region as possible. The next two months are going to be so critical … I wish we could do more to help.

In India along, approximately 7,000 people died and thousands of them have lost their homes, properties and all their belongings. Virtually, they are just on transit camps anticipating the government to give food and shelter.

Due to this incident, the entire country has undergone an unexpected, unprecedented shock.

At this point of time, each and every organization, company and individuals are coming forward and contributing to relief funds.

Thank you.

My prayers go out to [tsunami victims] and their families. I can relate to these disasters as I, too, have lost my home in Grand Cayman from the horrible hurricane Ivan in September last.
