MDRT Foundation Holds Annual Golf Tournament

Park Ridge, Illinois (May 23, 2002) — To kick off the 75th anniversary Annual Meeting of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the MDRT Foundation is looking for golfers to participate in the 2002 MDRT Foundation Corporate Golf Challenge on Saturday, June 22 at the Springhouse Golf Club at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.

The MDRT Foundation Golf Tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. It finishes in the afternoon with an awards presentation. Open to members and non-members, the tournament is designed to accommodate players of all skill levels and is a chance to experience a sample of the MDRT Annual Meeting.

On Friday, June 21 at 5 p.m., the MDRT Foundation is holding a reception to honor all MDRT and MDRT Foundation Past Presidents. The "Return to Heroes" reception will offer MDRT members the opportunity to meet industry legends. A Calcutta, held at the Return to Heroes reception, will put tournament teams together. All teams made up of individual entries will compete against other non-corporate teams for trophies and prizes.

Companies can support their agents and the MDRT Foundation by signing up for one of many corporate sponsorships still available. Companies or associations that sponsor at or above the Corporate level are invited to enter four participants as their Corporate Challenge team. The teams will compete against each other for the travelling "Corporate Challenge Cup." Additionally, a $1,000 grant will be donated to the winning company's charity of choice.

Tournament registration is $300 per person and includes greens fees, golf cart, golf shirt, gift bag, breakfast, awards and lunch. After the tournament, winners will be mentioned in MDRT's magazine, Round the Table.
Funds raised during previous golf tournaments have helped the Foundation support such organizations as the American Paralysis Association, Habitat for Humanity and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Last year's tournament raised more than $88,000 for worthwhile charities. This year the Foundation hopes to surpass that mark.
