2005 Million Dollar Promise Appeal

Appeal photoIn celebrating the MDRT Foundation’s history of commitment to global change and looking toward a future that still holds a world of necessary change yet to be accomplished, the Foundation is launching its third annual Million Dollar Promise Appeal to raise $1 million dollars to secure funding for the Worldwide Grant Program.

In reflection of the recent catastrophes, health epidemics and poverty that continues to tear apart communities and destroy families, the Foundation’s promise holds a priceless value to those in need throughout our world. Therefore, the Foundation is relying upon the collective support of every MDRT member to keep the promise of improving lives worldwide by contributing to this appeal.

During the last 45 years, the MDRT Foundation has given more than $11 million to member-endorsed charities worldwide. The loyal support of MDRT members has played an integral role in igniting change to hundreds of diverse ranges of causes, and it has brought comfort into the hearts of millions in MDRT member communities worldwide.

In 2004 alone, the MDRT Foundation supported the causes of more than 200 charities in Round Table member communities worldwide, and granted $1,556,772 USD.
Throughout our world, the Foundation has built homes for the homeless, funded life-saving breast cancer research, granted hundreds of wishes for terminally-ill children, funded rehabilitation programs for the elderly and bought hundreds of wheelchairs for the disabled poor along with numerous other worthy causes.

Since the launch of the first Million Dollar Promise Campaign in 2003, MDRT members have shown strength in unison by contributing more than $500,000 during the 2003 and 2004 Annual Meetings. It is this sincere generosity and loyalty upon which the MDRT Foundation was founded as the philanthropic arm of MDRT in 1959.

Today, MDRT looks to its current members and supporters to continue this tradition of giving back to their communities and securing the MDRT Foundation’s future of continued growth. To ensure the 2005 Million Dollar Promise Appeal is a success, the Foundation asks every MDRT member and attendee from each country to donate $100 USD or more at the 2005 Annual Meeting.

Contributors will have the comfort of knowing that 100 percent of net proceeds from this appeal will be used entirely to provide funding for the Worldwide Grant Program.
From past success, the MDRT Foundation knows that the desire for a better life and fairer sharing of wealth and opportunity cannot be met through individual action — it requires the collective action of all to keep our Million Dollar Promise for the those in need today and tomorrow.

Keep the promise with your gift today.
