Last December, the MDRT Foundation Grants Committee, which comprises MDRT members, met to finalize grant awards and amounts for applicants to the Foundation’s grant programs. At the conclusion of this meeting, the MDRT Foundation awarded $432,500 in worldwide grants to 81 charities serving people in need in 17 countries and 24 U.S. states.
In addition, 25 MDRT members were selected to receive a Quality of Life Award in honor of their volunteerism. The Foundation will present Quality of Life grants to the members’ designated charities in increments of $2,500 (19 grants awarded); $5,000 (three grants awarded); $10,000 (two grants awarded); and $25,000 (one grant awarded). The top six Quality of Life grant award amounts will be announced during the 2012 MDRT Annual Meeting, June 10–13, in Anaheim, California.
The Grants Committee spent months reviewing worthy grant applications — endorsed by MDRT members — and awarded grants to a diverse range of charitable organizations that will create hope and opportunity for children, families and individuals in need in MDRT member communities worldwide.
