John W. Cruikshank III, Wins Top Quality of Life Award

1997 MDRT President John W. Cruikshank III, CLU of Northbrook, Illinois, was awarded the top Quality of Life Award in honor of his dedicated volunteerism for North Shore Senior Center — a charitable organization based in Northfield, Illinois that serves a diverse population of elderly adults.

In honor of Cruikshank’s more than 10 years of volunteer service, the North Shore Senior Center was awarded a USD 25,000 grant. This award was presented to Cruikshank, a 50-year MDRT member and MDRT Foundation Excalibur Knight during the MDRT Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California. This grant will fund the Elder Abuse Prevention Program, which advocates on behalf of elderly adults who are vulnerable to physical, emotional or financial exploitation.

“John provides leadership that has helped our organization navigate through both financial and organizational changes,” said Jordan Luhr, executive director of the North Shore Senior Center. “His tireless effort and countless hours have been critical to the North Shore Senior Center’s success.
