Graduating with a college degree is a dream many achieve through hard work, perseverance and dedication. For World War II Veteran John H., obtaining a college degree was a life-long dream that he lived to see come true — with assistance from Ageless Dreamer Foundation, John H. received his honorary accounting degree at the age of 102.

The MDRT Foundation awarded a $2,500 grant to ADF to help fund their outreach programs. This grant was sponsored by Thomas F. Levasseur, CLU, CLTC, a 21-year MDRT member and Diamond Knight from Dover, New Hampshire. “ADF makes dreams come true for senior citizens who are very much alive,” explained Levassuer.

John H. was a self-taught bookkeeper and worked for his family’s meat business up until his retirement when he was 83 years old. John H.’s friend nominated him to ADF as she knew that an honorary degree in accounting would mean the world to him. In 2009, John was included as an honorary member of the University of New Hampshire’s Entrepreneurial Venture Creation Class of 2009 and was presented with a class membership certificate.

ADF was founded by Laurie Wildmark in 2006, as a way to provide a social outlet for senior citizens and their caregivers. ADF focuses on making dreams come true for people over the age of 70. Through a network of generous volunteers and business partners, ADF works with the caregivers and children of senior citizens to create once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
