2009 Quality of Life Grant Recipients
The MDRT Foundation is pleased to announce the following Quality of Life Award winners
for 2009. This year, 22 members were selected for an award, granting a total of $100,000 to charities in honor of their selfless volunteerism.
$25,000 Award

Grant funds the Learning Center, which provides educational development programs for people recovering from substance abuse
The Foundry Rescue Mission and Recovery Center: Bessemer, Ala.

Grant provides forensic interview services for children who are victims of physical or sexual abuse
Center for Child Protection: Austin, Texas

Grant funds the Ultimate Gift Fund, which assists families in need with rent, food, health insurance costs, job placement and counseling services
FSW: Bridgeport, Conn.

$2,500 funds the Top Program, which provides community service opportunities for teens from low-income households
Wyman Center: Eureka, Mo.

$2,500 funds the food services center, which serves meals to people during an emergency or crisis
Rescue Mission: Syracuse, N.Y.

$2,500 purchases food supplies for distribution to families in need
Rock River Valley Pantry: Rockford, Ill.

$2,500 funds the Economic Crisis Program to provide case managers who work with individuals and families in financial crisis and/or at risk of becoming homeless
Community Crisis Center: Elgin, Ill.

$2,500 provides furnishings for the residential facility that serves children who have been temporarily or permanently removed from their home due to abuse or neglect

Loew Vision Rehabilitation Institute: Los Angeles, Calif.
